Singular and Plural Nouns

* A noun can name one or more than one.
* A noun that names only one person, place, or thing is called a singular noun.
* A noun that names more than one is called a plural noun.

Singular nouns:
One goat is in the barn.
This hen laid one egg.

Plural nouns:
Many goats are in those barns
These hens laid a donzen eggs.

Rules:

add s to mos singular nouns.
boy: boys
puddle: puddles
a rose: ten roses

Add es to a singular noun that ends with ( s, x, ch, or sh)
bus: busses
box: boxes
one bunch: six bunches
a wish: many wishes
